If your child needs daycare (early childhood education), apply for it no later than 4 months before you need a place. There is a queue for day care palces.

In urgent situations (for example when you find work or training), you can apply for day care 2 weeks in advance. An application for day care must be made when you register as a jobseeker or apply to school.

You will receive the decision about a month before the start of the day care (in normal situations and sooner in urgent cases).

You can fill in the application online if you have:

• your child’s ID number
• your ID number
• parent’s banking credentials

If you cannot fill the application yourself or have problems with it, visit International Service Centre or Family Work Desk.
