Kielikahvila – Language Café
Kielikahvila (The Language Café) is a relaxed meeting place where local and international participants can practise Finnish together. There are conversation materials and vocabulary support available, but the most important thing is spending time together and interacting with others. The conversation groups are formed according to language level, so you can join a group that suits you best. Free of charge – just come along!
Thursdays from 4:30–5:30 p.m., every other session at Hämeenlinna Main Library and every other session at the HAMK Visamäki Campus (lobby of Building N).

Luetaan yhdessä – Let’s Read Together
Practise Finnish by speaking, writing and reading. The groups are open to everyone and free of charge. They are suitable for Finnish learners of all levels. No registration is required, and you can join whenever you like. Childcare is available for children.
Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m.–12 p.m., Kumppanuustalo.

Hämeen Setlementti
The Finnish language groups organised by Hämeen Setlementti are open to everyone and free of charge. The groups are suitable for Finnish learners of all levels. No registration is required, and you can join whenever you like.
Location: Hämeen Setlementti’s Keskustalo premises, Palokunnankatu 16.
Finnish for Beginners: Learn the basics of Finnish in an easy and accessible way and get to know Finnish society with the help of volunteers. Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Creative Finnish: Learn Finnish and Finnish culture through hands-on activities. The sessions include activities such as games, crafts and music. Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:45–2:15 p.m.

Finnish Red Cross: Finnish Language Beginner Groups
The Finnish Red Cross Finnish language groups provide an opportunity to practise everyday Finnish in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Volunteer instructors support participants in learning Finnish and developing their language skills.
