School transport is granted without applying if the student’s distance to school is

• more than 3 km / 1st and 2nd grade
• more than 5 km / 3rd to 9th grade.

School transport is always organized primarily by bus.

Applying

The application for school transport for next autumn is open from 15.2-23.4.

The application is made via Wilma – onlice service.

You can also download and fill in the paper application for school transport, Hämeenlinna City and send it to Education and Welfare, Wetterhoffinkatu 2 13100 Hämeenlinna.

TEMPORARY SCHOOL TRANSPORT

If your child cannot commute to school due to temporary illness / injury, you can also apply for temporary school transport. Please follow the above given instruction.

MORNING AND AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES

School transport is not available if your child is participating in morning or afternoon activities.

Transport is only provided for regular school classes.

TRANSPORT FROM ONLY ONE ADDRESS

Transport is provided only from and to the pupil’s official address as entered in the population register, even if the parents have joint custody.
