School transport

School transport is granted without applying if the student’s distance to school is
- more than 3 km / 1st and 2nd grade
- more than 5 km / 3rd to 9th grade.
School transport is always organized primarily by bus.
Applying
The application is made via Wilma – onlice service. Without strong authentication, you can submit the application using the e-form E-lomake – Application for school transportation.
For more information, please contact directly your child’s school or visit International Service Centre in Kastelli.
Temporary school transport
If your child cannot commute to school due to temporary illness / injury, you can also apply for temporary school transport. Transportation is applied for by filling in the application in Wilma or e-form and attaching an expert statement (e.g. from a doctor).
MunApp application
Students who travel by taxi will now see their school transport routes and schedules in the MunApp application. You can use the app either through a web browser at munapp.kuntalogistiikka.fi or by downloading the app to your phone. Please make sure that your child’s information is set up correctly.
In MunApp you can:
- check the morning pick-up time
- track when your child gets on and off the ride
- cancel transport for the current and following week
- check the license plate number of the vehicle providing the transport
