In addition to other employment services, immigrants also have access to services which are specifically intended for them. The aim of the services is to help them get a job and integrate into Finland.
If you have just moved to Finland, do not know Finnish society, do not speak Finnish or Swedish or need vocational training, you can get advice and participate in various types of training.

Through Hämeenlinna’s employment services, you can participate in integration training, study Finnish or Swedish, map your professional skills and take vocational studies. Various types of coaching and practical training will support you in your job search.
In Hämeenlinna’s employment services, you will be assisted by your personal coach. With your personal coach, you plan how to get a job or what training you should apply for.

If you do not have a common language with your personal expert, you can get an interpreter for the meeting.

INTEGRATION TRAINING

Integration training is usually intended for immigrants who have lived in Finland for less than 3 years and do not have a job. The training usually lasts about a year.

In the integration training, you will:

  • learn Finnish or Swedish and communication skills
  • learn social and working life skills
  • get a personal professional plan.

After the integration training, you will speak sufficient Finnish or Swedish to cope in everyday life, such as at work, in shops and in public services. After the integration training, you can apply for a job or study, for example, in vocational studies.
For more information about integration training, please contact your personal expert.
