Local government pilot on employment
The local government pilot on employment began in March 2021.
The aim of the Hämeenlinna region’s employment services is to promote the employment of unemployed jobseekers and their direction towards training more effectively and to bring new solutions for the availability of skilled workforce.
The local government pilot on employment brings nearly 4,600 jobseekers from the TE Office to the employment services of the municipalities of Hämeenlinna, Hattula and Janakkala. The change entered into force on 1 March 2021. With the change, approximately 16 employees were also transferred from the TE Office to the municipalities. Shared facilities have also been built in Hämeenlinna’s Asemanranta, Pööli and Ohjaamo Stage facilities.
WHAT IS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PILOT ON EMPLOYMENT?
The local government pilot on employment is a 2.5-year national project in which some of the statutory employment services of the TE Office are transferred to the municipality for organisation. The local government pilot involves 125 municipalities and their 26 pilot areas.
