Here is a map of the tracks: MAP

Notice, however, that “ei käytössä” means “not in use”; “kunnostettu” means “maintained”

On the city website you can also find cameras showing the current situation on some of the tracks: Hiihtoladut – Hämeenlinna (hameenlinna.fi)

For example, a big skating rink is located near Säästöpankki Areena (link to google map). The rink is lighted until 9 p.m.

See the city website for more information: Jäähallit ja luistelukentät – Hämeenlinna (hameenlinna.fi) There is a map of the ice rinks in Hämeenlinna, also a list of smaller rinks nearby schools (school sport fields are turned into skating rinks in Finland as soon as the weather conditions allow for that). It is also possible to rent a field for own use, also the prices are given in the link above.

If you need equipment for skiing or skating, you can for example buy used ones in flea markets in Hämeenlinna: Kiinnostavimmat kirpputorit – Hämeenlinna (hameenlinna.fi)

Sledding

Popular sledding hills can be found in Ahvenisto recreational area or smaller hills in the city park.

In addition, there is a pole sled on the ice. Note! The route is kept open by volunteers depending on the ice situation and is open only when ice on the lake is sufficient for safe winter fun. The sled park is located at Välläntie 165, Hämeenlinna.
