Selkokieli means easy language, which is constructed in such a way that is easier to read and understand. It is helpful especially for people who have difficulty in reading or understanding standard language eg. for immigrants.
The Kela website provides information on housing, pensions, families with children, moving to/from Finland, studying and military service, sickness and rehabilitation, income support and unemployment. The site provides information on Kela’s customer service and how to claim and pay benefits. Kela will also publish an easy Swedish language version of the website later.
