Children’s Art Festival Hippalot will be held from July 31 to August 3

Ihminen tekee sirkustemppuja.
Hippalot is an arts festival for children, which takes place in Hämeenlinna from July 31 to August 3, 2025. The venues are Verkatehdas Arts & Congress Centre and ARX Culture Centre.

The festival offers many kinds of activities such as theatre, music, workshops, movies, circus and dance. The theme of the 2025 festival is ”animals”. In Pinella Park, children can meet donkeys, alpacas, sheep and therapy dogs every day from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Program includes for example:

  • Äänen maa – a workshop exploring sounds and space
  • AEIOU: Vedet – a multisensory performance about water incorporating puppet theatre, music and circus
  • Colorsphere – contemporary circus and physical theatre (main stage shows from ARX)
  • Konemusapaja – a DJ-sampling workshop for music creation
  • At the reading stage: poetry, animal bingo, open mic events

Also featured are family films (e.g., “Bamse and the World’s Smallest Adventure”, “Kung Fu Panda 4”), hobby horse workshops, robotics, art-driven exhibits and live concerts at the HIPPO stage.

Program locations vary, so please check the exact venue, date and time in the program details.

The full Hippalot program can be found at www.hippalot.fi/en. For the latest Hippalot news, check out the social media channels facebook.com/hippalot and instagram.com/hippalot.

Tickets

Ticket prices start at 11.50€. You can buy tickets from the Lippu.fi website or at the festival venues (until sold out).

NOTE: movie tickets are sold only at Bio Rex movie theatre, which is in Verkatehdas.

There are also English-speaking staff at the event, and accessibility is considered in the program.
