
Hämeenlinna is a child-friendly city with a variety of opportunities for children and young people. Children and young people’s voice is important and valuable here and a lot is done to make the city a safe place for kids to grow. Many events and attractions for children, young people, families with children and experts will be organized during the week.
Highlights of the week

The ARX Cultural Centre is organizing the Valoilmiö Festival from November 20th to 22nd, which focuses on light art. You can see the light installations between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. in Hämeenlinna city centre and Hauho. This year, over 1,500 children and young people have helped plan and create the event. - The Hämeenlinna City Library is arranging a book exhibition for children at the main library. The exhibition presents children’s books suitable for different ages.

The Royal Puppet Theatre will perform Tiitiäinen’s Alphabet at Poltinaho Parish Hall on Tuesday, 18 November at 6 p.m. After the show, children can jump in a bouncy castle and do crafts.

On Wednesday, 19 November from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be a “Snack & Hang Out” evening at Jukola’s Lintukoto. The event includes fun activities and a focus on children’s rights. Free food will be served at 5 p.m.
