Pride is a reminder that everyone is equally valuable and has the right to be themselves. During Pride Week, from June 22 to June 28, the rainbow flag will fly at Raatihuone as a sign that Hämeenlinna supports the LGBTQ+ community (including, for example, gay and transgender people). Hämeenlinna aims to be a city where everyone feels welcome and where everyone enjoys the same rights, regardless of their personal characteristics. Many other cities across Finland also celebrate Pride Week.
