Public Transport Schedules During Winter Holiday Week

Buses in the Hämeenlinna region will not operate school day routes from February 23 to March 1, 2026.

Things to Do for the Whole Family in Hämeenlinna

Hämeenlinna City Museum has two places to visit: Museum Skogster and Palander House. There is fun for people of all ages. During the holiday week, Hämeenlinna libraries also have interesting activities for children and young people. You can keep eye on the Hämeenlinna Youth Services website and social media channels for their holiday program for young people.

24–26 February, tours at various times – “The Nooks and Crannies of Häme Castle”

Have you ever wondered what lies behind the Häme Castle’s closed corridors? What does the tower room on the top floor look like, or the castle’s original staircases? 28 February and 1 March at 1 PM – Suomi Myytti (Finland Myth) play, Hämeenlinna Art Museum

The Royal Puppet Theatre presents this 45-minute performance. Intended for young people and adults, the play tells the story of Finland’s history and its development into an independent state.
